On a rainy day in Picadilly, London, we managed to catch the end of this 3rd show of the works by artist Pauline Boty, which is showing at the Gazelli Art House in Dover Street. To see this show by an artist from the pop art world of 1960s London, was like having a glimpse back in time when seen in one space.
Pendragon framed 3 of the artworks in the show of her earlier works in a solid walnut frame with a moon gold profile. The frames were a sensitive response to these more delicate pieces in the show.
Our gilded framing is done in-house by our very experienced gilder, Rob, who has worked for us for over 25 years. Rather than something with a bling, bright gold this moon gold makes a beautiful finish to a frame which brings a quiet glamour to the wall.
So glad we managed to catch this show before it closes.
